Work
I try to use the change from daylight saving time to get used again to starting at 8am instead of 9am. The first hour is usually the quietest. There are no telephone calls yet and I can sort out the little things I don't find time and peace for later on.
Today is the second day at work without any access to the internet or to our local servers. Frankly, it sucks. I can't even work on the business proposals because these are also on the team's server, not on my local hard-drive. That will teach me.
Just thought all access was restored just now. Alas, the server went down somehow again. But at least internet access works again.
Short summary of the day
Finally server access about noon allowed for an almost average working day.
About 4pm we got good news. We will get the contract for a new project. The main point to our favor was the business proposal's quality of content. *g* The sweating and cursing has paid off it seems.
My first reaction was excitement. This project will keep me busy during the rest of this year. And it will improve our numbers. Then the panic hit me like a boomerang! Only one week to dust off my ASP knowledge. What if I had miscalculated, what if I can't keep the schedule? Please, don't screw up!
Now, I have calmed a bit. I'm not alone and we will do it right!
