conlang -- To the next stage

When I look so over my notes I have the grammar features of my conlang together. What I still have to do is to decide on the syllables for the particles and adfixes. They will considerably influence how the derivated words will look and sound and thus very important. And then the roots must be generated.

Holly Lisle had an interesting entry in her blog where she confessed her liking for made-up languages. At the same time she gave a dire warning that a full-fledged conlang has rarely a place in a story (or novel). She's right, of course. But personally it makes me uneasy to use made-up words or phrases and then 'contradict' myself with other phrases. *g* It's silly but it's true. And besides, conlanging itself is fun.
