Uff. After installing NIS 2002 again and then 17MB worth of updates and virus definitions ... and now also 14MB of Windows security patches ... - a very time consuming process with only an old modem dial-up connection - I can finally say that the re-install of my old, trusty computer is finished. It had cost me the whole Saturday evening to bring Win2K to recognizing my harddisk. It stopped the stupid "there seems to be no harddisk installed.." error messages only when I plugged the harddisk connection into another slot. And then I did a complete reinstall of Win2K on Sunday (before the patches) because I didn't liked the previous partition setup. Yeah, I know, bad case of perfectionism.
